What a day!
This morning, we were on the giant swing, orienteering and on the zip wire.
After lunch, we were all togged up in rafting kit and our three groups were out on the water together on rafts that we had designed and built out of barrels, rope and wooden poles. We had a few fallers into the tropical waters of Lake Clive and a few races on our rafts, finishing off with a few jumps in just to liven us up a bit.
After a quick shower, we ate and are now strutting our stuff at the PGL disco.
We’ve had a great time and there’s more to come in the morning, but rest assured we are all looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Thursday 15 March 2018 – morning
Good morning everyone!
It was very quiet this morning when we woke the children up for breakfast at 7 o’clock. Everyone seems to have had a deep sleep, even if a few of us could have done with another hour. We have been up for breakfast and are now getting our dry bags ready for raft building this afternoon.
See you soon!

Wednesday 14 March 2018 – evening
Good evening from PGL!
We have had a great day getting muddy and trying lots of different activities: abseiling, giant swing and zip wire have been popular. Everyone has really pushed themselves and has been building teamwork skills in their groups. We definitely have some budding Spiderwomen and Spidermen in St Mary’s.
We’ve bean learning lots of PGL songs as we walk around. I’m sure you’ll hear a few when we get back!
Tomorrow, everyone is looking forward to raft building and, of course, the disco.
It has been a very busy day. We are off to do PGL Sports this evening. Then we hope we will have worn them out for a good night’s sleep.

Wednesday 14 March 2018
We have just returned from a hearty PGL breakfast of sausage, hash brown, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and every other breakfast item you can think of! Year 6 are making full use of the buffet!
Yesterday, we did a tour of the site and played lots of games. The children have settled into their rooms well. Last night, we sang songs and danced around a campfire.
Lights out was just after half nine. They all seem to have slept well. The rooms were quiet not too long after ten; I’m sure that they will be even more worn out tonight (fingers crossed).
Today, we have an exciting day ahead of us: abseiling, challenge course and rifle shooting. It is cold, but everyone is wrapping up and ready to go.
We’re off on our activities now.
Tuesday 13 March 2018 – evening update
Hello from PGL!
After a good journey, we moved into our accommodation and had a tour of the grounds. We thoroughly enjoyed a hearty tea and had a chance to play games with our groupie.
There was a campfire tonight, with songs and fun – a lovely evening.
Bedtime now – all is quiet… We’ll update you in the morning.
