Our School Results

We are happy to share academic results from across our school in recent years. These outcomes are thanks to the hard work not only of the children themselves but also the parents and teachers who support and encourage them – in front of and behind the scenes! School staff see these results as a culmination of work that has taken place throughout the children’s time at St Mary’s: as a team, we celebrate together.

In 2016, there were significant changes to the way in which pupils were tested at the end of KS1 and KS2. Comparisons cannot be made with previous school results since the context is now different and standards have been raised substantially.

Until 2015, expectations were for pupils to reach L4+ at the end of Y6 and L2+ at the end of Y2. Now, pupils should meet the ‘expectation’ for their age at the end of each key stage – and, in fact, at the end of each academic year.

St Mary’s school met the floor standard set by the Government in 2016. We have also achieved a very strong set of results in 2017.

Please see the provisional 2017 results below (and those from the previous year); some further amendments may be made before the validated publication in December 2017. In a one-form entry school, one child may represent 3-4%.

(National figures are in brackets; if not yet available, LA figures are noted instead).
